ABOUT EDUCATE EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM

Educ8 Program started in 2015 funding by Turkish Philanthropy Funds. Every year 4 to 5 Young Women University Students are chosen among hundreds of applicants which is progress by ÇYDD ( Çağdaş Yaşamı Destekleme Derneği ). Educ8 took place in New York during the summers of 2015 & 2016. In following years program carried out in London. During the Pandemic program was suspended for two summers during 2020-2021 and restarted again in 2022 onwards.

 

To be able to apply for Educ8 program, ÇYDD Scholarship students have to be in their 2nd or 3rd of academic years and have knowladge intermediate level of English.

The program expenses in below pay to each students through the program budget:

​

• 4 weeks of English language studies at Language Studies International LSI Central, London (6 hours per day- in August)

• 4 weeks half board accommodation at Hostels London

• Return flight tickets (İstanbul-London-İstanbul)

• Airport Transfer in London

• Local transport (1 month Oyster card)

• Travel insurance

• Local mobile sim cards and weekly allowance for other expenses

Girls will also have English speaking volunteers to take them around London, make visits to offices like Google and Facebook. They are assigned mentors in the fields they study. They are also given concert and musical tickets and make cultural visits to museums.

In the Last 10 years, 34 young women’s lives changed forever due to Educ8 program. They are transformed and believe they can take on anything despite all the challenges.
